Love the floral notes in a Clover Club and Bees Knee. I really gave gin a try but I think the residual is, grab one cucumber gin (Uncle Val's Botanical), Nolet's and any other. Not aware of any place with 100 gins in NYC but Bathtub Gin, not surprisingly, has a strong selection.
What you really want is to fly to London and go to Portobello Star. They make their own gin upstairs and they do a class where you can taste the single botanical pre-gins and make your own blend. They keep your recipe on file and you can buy more bottles at any point (when you are in London).

They asked me what cocktail bars, specifically ones that offer gin cocktails would be worth visiting to try and get a sense of the gin scene in NYC. I know about Gin Parlour and Bathtub Gin having been there myself, but what others would people recommend other than what I can find on google (Little Branch, Lure, Manhattan Cricket Club)? Locked. Heading to Bathtub Gin for a show next Thursday.
Any strong recommendations for dinner nearby that we would actually be able to get reservations at this point. Looked for Cote but they're booked. Have been to Buddakan and not opposed to going back but would be open to some place different.

Last time in the city we did Fishcheeks (incredible). Got into gin last year. And enjoy it! I gave up whiskey after 20 years.

Bathtub Gin Heyo! Anyone here tried "making" there own gin by just steeping botanicals in vodka? What were your recipes? Any tips? I really want to try it out so I'll take all the suggestion I can get! I think I want to eventually make a pretty floral-forward batch, so specifics with that would be awesome. You need a reservation for the tables but not if you are planning on being at the bar. There may be a wait to get into the establishment though depending what day/time you go.
